in Atlanta, DJ Felli Fel launched his radio career at KNON, a community
radio station out of Dallas, Texas. He then landed his 1st commercial
gig on a Spanish radio station, KICK FM. Later, deciding to take
a break from the radio scene, Felli Fel began putting out mixtapes.
His product and popularity grew rapidly. Felli was hired to do intros
and jingles for other radio shows and producing music for several
Midwest artists at the time. His relentlessness to keep his name
in the game and in the streets led K104, Dallas’ overall top-rated
radio station, to call and offer him an on-air DJ position. At K104
for 3 years, Felli Fel’s experience was instrumental in landing
a job at Power 106 in Los Angeles, where he continues to stay connected
to the streets with his “Felli Fel Mixtapes” and “Heavy
Hits” vinyl issue releases. A night
in the life of DJ Fellli Fel entails running the tech board in
studio; recording and editing listener calls; sorting through
new music and preparing for his live mix show at 10pm; taking
calls and 2ways from aggressive record promotions people trying
to get their music played and their artist’s on the air;
soliciting for his famous “Whoa Call” freestylist
competition; recording artists for mixtapes and personalized intros
for his show; then finally rushing out to appear and deejay at
